Just as birds return to their nests, people must remember their roots. This year, we mark 50 years since the Fall of Saigon-a moment that scattered millions of Vietnamese refugees across the world and marked the beginning of the Vietnamese diaspora. For those who fled, survival meant leaving behind everything but memory. And in the decades since, those memories have glowed--quietly but steadily--like fireflies in the dark, lighting the way for future generations.
This 50th Commemoration is more than a ceremony, it is a gathering across generations and geographies and a collective act of remembrance and renewal. We come together not only to look back, but to carry forward the light of those who came before us.

Cũng như chim tìm về tổ, con người cần phải nhớ đến cội
nguồn của mình. Năm nay. chúng ta đánh dấu 50 năm kế từ ngày Sài Gòn sụp đồ--một biến có lịch sử khiến hàng triệu người Việt Nam phải ly hương, mở ra trang đâu của hành trình tị nạn và hình thành cộng đồng người Việt hải ngoại trên toàn thế giới, Vói những người ra đi, sự sống còn đồng nghĩa với việc rời bỏ tất cả, chỉ mang theo ký ức. và suốt bao thập ký qua, những ký ức ấy văn tiếp tục tỏa sáng--lặng lễ nhưng bền bi--như những con dom đóm trong đêm, dăn đường cho thế hệ mai sau.
Sự kiện Tưởng Niệm 50 Năm này không chỉ là một buổi lễ trang trọng,
mà là một cuộc hội ngộ xuyên thế hệ, vượt không gian và thời gian-một hành động tập thế cùa sự ghi nhớ và tái sinh. Chúng ta không chỉ nhìn lại quá khứ, mà còn tiếp nối ánh sáng của những người đi trước.
